“Cosy, comforting blackcurrant cuddle in a bubble bar. Wraps you in a fluffy pink blanket of blackberry bubbles to keep you safe and warm.”
After a particularly stressful day, (especially during the exam period), what better way is there than to finish off your day on a positive, with a lovely relaxing bath, and what better than using one of the unbeatable Lush products that are to die for? That’s right, there isn’t anything that tops that!
I’d been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to get my hands on my first ever Lush bubble bar, when, whilst in dia need of my favourite method of relaxation (to simply put it, a bath), I remembered the untouched Lush gift box bought for me a while back. I have
absolutely no idea how I’d managed to save it for so long as that’s so unlike me, but trying to save the contents for a special time had led me to forget all about the little wonder. Within the box, I found a number of miniature Lush beauties inside, although the Comforter Bubble bar was one that immediately appealed to me as I had been desperate to try it for a while (my sister had previously treated herself to this treasure and it seemed amazing!)
Lush describes this bubble bar perfectly in the description it provides on their website:
“When life is getting you down, crumble The Comforter under hot, running water for passionately purple water and creamy, comforting bubbles. This massive slice of vibrant fruitiness gives you the feeling of being enveloped in a warm hug and gently consoled by the friendly fruity aroma of a blackcurrant candy. It was created to bring a real sense of comfort to people, just like a real comforter would. Snuggle in, and stay undercover until you’re ready to face the world once again. Even better, each bar creates two baths of fruity comfort.”
I am actually obsessed with the smell, I absolutely love it! Although I know that some people prefer their scents to be fresh and not quite as sweet as this (and I do have a particular love for those scents too) and that this therefore doesn’t sit inside some people’s ‘liked’ scents, I think it fits perfectly with the ‘comforter’ aspect of the name, as it smells incredible; berries/ blackcurrent, and it reminds me of the Ribena drink. This smells, I think, is super comforting and relaxing in the bath, especially when paired with the large number of long-lasting bubbles that this made, great for a miniature bubble bar of its size.
The colour of the bath it creates is beautiful too, a soft baby pink colour; furthering adding to the ‘comforting’ aspect, as you lay in a magical daze of pink and berries, ahh so dreamy!
Some of the main things I love about Lush products is the naturally sources ingredients and the feel it leaves on the skin, and this comforter didn’t fail to deliver on either. The moment you entered the bath it felt lovely and smooth on the skin, and left me feeling moisturised and revitalised for a while afterwards; another wonderful lush touch included in this bubblebar.
Overall this has to be one of my favourite Lush products yet, and I would highly recommend it. Let me know what your favourite Lush bath products are, and if you have any recommendations that you think I should try out.
